Absolute Assurance by C.H. Spurgeon

Absolute Assurance - C.H. Spurgeon

He Hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)

Several times in Scriptures the Lord hath said this. He has often repeated it to mak our assurance doubly sure. Let us never harbor a doubt about it. In itself the promise is specially emphatic. In the Greek it has five negatives, each one definitely shutting out the possibilty of the Lord's ever leaving one of His people so that he can justly feel forsaken of his God. This priceless Scripture does not promise us exemption from trouble, but it does secure us against desertion. We may be called to traverse strange ways, but we shall always have our Lord's company, assistance, and provision. We need not covet money, for we shall always have our God, and God is better than gold; His favor is better than fortune.
We ought surely to be content with such things as we have, for he who has God has more than all the world besides. What can we have beyond the Infinite? What more can we desire than almighty Goodness.
Come, my heart; if God says He will never leave thee nor forsake thee, be thou much in prayer for grace that thou mayest never leave thy Lord, nor even for a moment forsake His ways.

My Heart Today

My soul is tired, my body is tired.
Lord give me words, the words that haven't been there in so long.
I long to talk, but nothing comes out.
Lord give me strength and endurance, strength that presses on towards You.
I long to walk, alongside of You.
In my head I come up with doubts, I come up with fear, everything not of You.
But I continue to not understand why You keep bringing me back to You.
I'm stupid, I continue to walk in a way where at some point I start thinking that I can do it on my own, without You. I clearly step aside and in my life and in my actions say, "I don't care anymore"
But the truth is, that never once have You left me, never once have You called me stupid, never once have You given up and said, "I don't care anymore".
You keep telling me, "NEVER will I leave you, NEVER will I forsake you."
Lord give me grace to never leave You, or forsake Your ways.

Theme of My Song-Behold the Lamb of God

Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Giver of love and the theme of my song
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Come to your people, carry us home
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Ancient and strong

Giver of love and the theme of my song
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Come to your people, carry us home
Deliver us

Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Deliver us
Son of God

Giver of love and the theme of my song
And gather us beneath your wings
Son of Man

Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Tonight
Broken Hearts

Come to your people, carry us home
Behold our broken hearts
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Deliver us
Giver of love and the theme of my song
Broken hearts
Deliver us
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Broken hearts
And gather us beneath your wings
Son of God
Come to your people, carry us home
Tonight
Son of Man
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Let your judgment passover us
Giver of love and the
theme of my song
Passover us
Glory to Jesus, ancient and strong
Passover us
Ancient and strong
Come to your people, carry us home
Behold our broken hearts
Carry us home
Son of God...

So sing out with joy for the brave little boy
Who was God, but he made himself nothing
Well he gave up his pride and he came here to die
Like a man
So sing out with joy for the brave little boy
Who was God, but he made himself nothing
Well he gave up his pride and he came here to die
Like a man
So rejoice ye children sing, and remember now his mercy
And sing out with joy for the brave little boy is our savior
Son of God, Son of Man

Hallelujah! Sing Hallelujah!!!
Hallelujah! Sing Hallelujah!!!!

Behold, the Lamb of God

Behold, the Lamb of God
Who takes away our sin
Behold, the Lamb of God
The life and light of men
Behold the Lamb of God
Who died and rose again
Behold the Lamb of God who comes
To take away our sin

Broken hearts-behold our broken hearts
Fallen far-we need you
Behold the sin of man

Behold, the Lamb of God
Who takes away our sin
Behold, the Lamb of God
The life and light of men
Behold, the Lamb of God
Who died and rose again
Behold, the Lamb of God who comes
To take away our sin

Son of God-Emmanuel
Son of Man- We praise You
Behold the Lamb
The hope of man
Behold the Lamb of God

Behold, the Lamb of God
Who takes away our sin
Behold, the Lamb of God
The life and light of men
Behold the Lamb of God
Who died and rose again
Behold the Lamb of God who comes
To take away our sin

While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks-Behold the Lamb of God

While shepherds watched their flocks by night,
All seated on the ground
An angel of the Lord came down,
Glory shone around

"Fear not!" said he, for mighty dread
Had seized their troubled minds
"Glad tidings of great joy I bring
To you and all mankind

To you in David's town this day
Is born of David's line
The Savior who is Christ the Lord
And this shall be the sign:

The heavenly babe you there shall find
to human view displayed
All meanly wrapped in swaddling bands
And in a manger laid"

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Christ is born
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Christ is born!

All glory be to God on high
And to the earth be peace
Good will henceforth from God to man
Begin and never cease"

Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
Hallelujah, Christ is born
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Christ is born!

Labor of Love

Here is another song from Behold the Lamb of God. Listen and read the words, they are beautiful!!

It was not a silent night
There was blood on the ground
You could hear a woman cry
In the alleyway that night
On the streets of David's town

And the stable was not clean
And the cobblestones were cold

And little Mary full of grace
With the tears upon her face
Had no mother's hand to hold

It was a labor of pain
It was a cold sky above
Bur for the girl on the ground in the dark
Every beat of her beautiful heart

It was a labor of love

Noble Joseph by her side
Callused hands and weary eyes
There were no midwives to be found
On the streets of David's town
In the middle of the night

So he held her and he prayed
Shafts of moonlight on his face
But the baby in her womb
He was the maker of the moon
He was the Author of the faith
That could make the mountains move

It was a labor of pain
It was a cold sky above
Bur for the girl on the ground in the dark
Every beat of her beautiful heart
Was a labor of love
For little Mary full of grace
With the tears upon her face
Was a labor of love

It was not a silent night
On the streets of David's town.

Zach and Nox

The other night I pulled out the video from my 21st surprise birthday party. My best friend and roomie at the time Meghan surprised me with this at our apartment.
I laughed and I cried and laughed some more. It was GREAT. I had forgotten about the events that took place that day.
The apartment was packed full of people and we had a pinata in the middle of the room and karaoke.
Some highlights of the karaoke were Dara singing a little Aretha, "RESPECT"
Zach singing a little Boyz II Men, "On Bended Knee"
Chris Zinks and Nox singing a little Backstreet Boys, "Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely"
Meghan and Steph singing a little Madonna, "Material Girl"
Chris E. (Todd) and Graham singing a little Madonna as well...."Express Yourself". (for those of you who know Chris...yes...he actually was doing karaoke and we have it on video!!)
Meg and I pulled out the Destiny's Child "Say My Name" SEVERAL times!!
My mom and I did an amazing version of Footloose! beautiful!
It was SO funny...all of it! I think I would get shot if I were to post any video from that!!
BUT...I will post this little video. I had to video it while watching it on the TV, so sorry the quality is not that great. (and the camera jiggles from my laughter! Sorry!)
Anyway...
Zach and Nox who are good friends of mine, who were also in the band with me, went off to the bathroom to do a "Special Treat" for me!!
The first special treat was something that he would always do to me and I HATED it. I STILL do. He does this cat hiss thing that makes me cringe every time. I found myself doing it even though it was on a video and not in my ear like it usually is. Yeah...he would do it right in my ear! ugh!! dork.
2nd special treat was a nice rendition of "Friends" by Michael W. Smith. As a band, we would always break out into this song at random times when we were together. Since it is such a cheesy song...we always made it cheesier. Sometimes, if there was a piano nearby Zach would sit down and we would all gather around and sing "Friends" together! It became quite the joke!! (take note...in the video...Nox has NO clue what the words are!)
3rd special treat "Shhhh, momma's here" This was one of Zach's favorite things to do. I do recall one time when he did this to me, the side of my hair was completely straight from him rubbing it down so hard!! He has even been known to go up to people he has never met and do this!! (remember my cousin Gretchen?! Remember that Gret!?)
Anyway...enjoy. I almost peed my pants.

There is Just Something About Them...

Ok. To go along with my family's obsession with the Bee Gees here and here. I thought I would post this video.
Observations:
1. Lots of hair
2. Lots of teeth
3. Lots of...tight...pants
4. Lots of...tight white...pants
5. Nice choreography
6. I'm wondering if the high notes came from the tight pants.
7. I'm still trying to figure out how this type of singing was ever cool. But for some reason I'm really drawn to it, and sort of have the Bee Gee's Greatest Hits Album on my top 20.

It Came To Pass

It Came to Pass-Behold the Lamb of God

It came to pass back in those days that Caesar, he decreed
A census would be takent of the Roman world, you see
So everyone packed up and headed back to their home towns
And this couple up from Galilee to Bethlehem was bound.

So it came to pass this man named Joe was with his fiance
Back when her pregnancy began to show he planned to go away
But it came to pass that in a dream an angel of the Lord
Said, "Joseph, don't you be afraid to marry Mary for
The little baby in her womb it is the Holy Spirit's work
You may have read the prophet said a virgin would give birth"

So it came to pass that Joseph was the noblest of men
With a woman on a donkey on their way to Bethlehem
And I wonder whether either was aware enought that day
To know the child would bring a Kingdom
and the old would come to pass away

Yes, it came to pass that Joseph was the noblest of men
With a woman on a donkey on their way to Bethlehem

Whatever it Takes Lord...

I was reading this today on the Desiring God Blog and loved it, so I thought I would pass it along!

WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD, GIVE ME...
Delight in you as the greatest treasure of my heart.

Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD, GIVE ME...
Desire to know you, be with you, and seek your kingdom above all else.

Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)

WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD, GIVE ME...
Discernment that comes from a renewed mind that I might know your will.

But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:14)

WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD, GIVE ME...
Discipline to plan for what I discern as your will.

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

WHATEVER IT TAKES, LORD, GIVE ME...
Diligence to do your will with all my heart.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

Matthew's Begats

This is the first song I have ever heard that talks about the lineage of Jesus.
I wonder how long it took him to memorize that!

Matthew's Begats
Abraham had Isaac
Isaac, he had Jacob
Jacob, he had Judah and his kin
Then Perez and Zerah
Came from Judah's woman, Tamar
Perez, he brought Hezron up
And then came

Aram, then Amminadab
Then Nahshon, who was then the dad of Salmon
Who with Rahab fathered Boaz
Ruth, she married Boaz who had Obed
Who had Jesse
Jesse, he had David who we know as king

David, he had Solomon by dead Uriah's wife
Solomon, well you all know him
He had good old Rehoboam
Followed by Abijah who had Asa
Asa had Jehoshaphat had Joram had Uzziah
Who had Jotham then Ahaz then Hezekiah

Followed by Manasseh who had Amon
Who was a man
Who was father of a good boy named Josiah
Who grandfathered Jehoiachin
Who caused teh Babylonian captivity
Because he was a liar

Then he had Shealtiel, who begat Zerubbabel
Who had Abiud who had Eliakim
Eliakim had Azor who had Zadok who had Akim
Akim was the father of Eliud then
He had Eleazar who had Matthan who had Jacob
Now, listen very closely
I don't want to sing this twice
Jacob was the father of Joseph
The husband of Mary
The Mother of Christ.

O Come, O Come Emmanuel

Countdown!

According to my personalized google desktop countdown...
29 days until I come home to Iowa!
16 days until my Best Friends Mich and AJ come to Austin!!

Deliver Us-Sung by Derek Webb

Deliver Us-Behold the Lamb of God
Our enemy, our captor is no pharaoh on the Nile
Our toil is neither mud nor brick nor sand
Our ankles bear no calluses from chains, yet Lord, we're bound
Imprisoned here, we dwell in our own land

Deliver us, deliver us
Oh Yahweh, hear our cry
And gather us beneath your wings tonight

Our sins they are more numerous than all the lambs we slay
These shackles they were made with our own hands
Our toil is our atonement and our freedom yours to give
So Yahweh, break our silence if you can

Deliver us, deliver us
Oh Yahweh, hear our cry
And gather us beneath your wings tonight

"Jerusalem, Jerusalem
How often I have longed
To gather you beneath my gentle wings"

Sweet Little Cowboy!

This is precious! It's a little boy who called in to a radio station.

So Long Moses

Here is a video documentary describing Behold the Lamb of God

The next song...

So Long Moses

So long, Moses
Hello, Promised Land
It was a long long road
But your people are home
So long, Moses

Hello, Joshua
Goodbye, Canaanites
We're coming to town
Twelve tribes and no crown
No crown, Oh Lord

We want a king on a throne
Full of power, with a sword in his fist
Will there ever be, ever be a king like this?

Hello Saul
First king of Israel
You were foolish and strong
So you didn't last long
Goodbye, Saul

Hail, King David
Shepherd from Bethlehem
Set the temple of God
In mighty Jerusalem

You were a king on a throne
Full of power, with a sword in his fist
Has there ever been, ever been a king like this?
Full of wisdom, full of strength, the hearts of the people are his
Hear, O Israel, was ever there a king like this?

Hello, prophets
The kingdom is broken now
The people of God
Have been scattered abroad
How long, O Lord?

So speak, Isaiah
Prophet of Judah
Can you tell of the One
This king who's going to come

Will he be a king on a throne
Full of power with a sword in his fist?
Prophet, tell us will there be another king like this?
Full of wisdom, full of strength,
The hearts of the people are his
Prophet, tell us will there be
Another king like this?

"He'll bear no beauty or glory
Rejected, despised
A man of such sorrow
We'll cover our eyes

He'll take up our sickness
Carry our tears
For his people
He will be pierced

He'll be crushed for our evils
Our punishment feel
By his wounds
We will be healed."

"From you, O Bethlehem
Small among Judah
A ruler will come.
Ancient and strong."

Elves are back!!!

So, it's that time of year again...when the elves come out!
You may want to go to the bathroom first. You may pee your pants!
My mom, sisters and I...get ready!

Passover Us

Here is another song from Andrew Peterson's 'Behold the Lamb of God'
Reminder that you can listen to the song here by scrolling down and clicking on the 'Behold the Lamb of God' album and then click 'Open Player' and then click on the song title.
Like he said in the article I wrote about in the previous post. I think it is so amazing and so cool to remember that the entire bible points to Jesus, that it's all about Him, not just the New Testament. Here is a song about Moses and the Passover.

Passover Us

Well, we all remember Moses on the banks of the river
He said "Pharaoh, you've got to let my people go.
You don't want me to have to tell you this ten times over
Denial ain't just a river, you know."

And we all remember Pharaoh, he just wouldn't do it
So the plagues they came upon Egypt one by one
His heart was hard and the other nine just couldn't do it
So the last was the worst the death of the firstborn son.

But the Lord, he gave to Moses a word for the people
He said their firstborn sons could live to see another day
"Put the blood of a lamb on the doorway and death will pass right over"
That night all of the children of Israel prayed,

"Lord let your judgment Passover us
Lord, let your love hover near
Don't let your sweet mercy Passover us
Let this blood cover over us here."

So the years went by and the people they whined and they wandered
And only sacrifice atoned for the sins of the land
So you see the priest he placed upon the holy altar
The body of a spotless lamb
And he prayed,

"Lord let your judgment Passover us
Lord, let your love hover near
Don't let your sweet mercy Passover us
Let this blood cover over us here."

Christmas Time is Here!

Hilary and I got our Christmas tree last weekend. We went to the Christmas tree place to pick out our tree and it was definitely "Austin". Here is a picture of a Christmas tree right by some palm trees! The workers were very nice. Notice the dude in the background...he's wearing a kilt. :)
They old guy working in the Austin Optimist Club trailer gave us a huge lecture about how to care for the tree and all of the things to be cautious about. Some of my favorite quotes from him are:
"Well...HAIL Merry Christmas!!"
"Just remember to spritz the foliage."
So random!
The truck came in handy!
Hilary is good at putting the lights on!
I think it's very cute!
Another decoration...with the camera on color accent...
And probably my favorite Christmas ornament on the tree...my hairy ball!

Gather Round Ye Children Come

Last Monday, Hilary and I went to a concert called "Behold the Lamb of God" written by Andrew Peterson. He describes it like this:

This Christmas will be the fifth consecutive year that I’ve performed what I hesitantly call a musical about the birth of Christ. The reason ‘musical’ doesn’t really work is that when we think of a musical we usually think of people dressed like donkeys and evenings full of badly delivered speaking parts.
What I wrote is a concert that tells a story. There’s no speaking--only songs, some of which are intimate, some epic, some humorous, all with a purpose, which is to convey the true tall tale of the coming of God into the world.
What makes this bunch of songs unique is that I wanted to remind (or teach) the audience that the story of Christmas doesn’t begin with the birth of Jesus. Many people tend to forget or have never even learned that the entire Bible is about Jesus, not just the New Testament. So the musical begins with Moses and the symbolic story of the Passover (Passover Us) and works its way through the kings and the prophets with their many prophecies about the coming Messiah (So Long, Moses) to the awful four hundred years of silence before God told Mary she’d be having a baby (Deliver Us). After the song called Matthew’s Begats, which lists the genealogy of Jesus, the story picks up in more familiar territory with Mary and Joseph and the actual birth (It Came To Pass, Labor of Love). The final song is called Behold, the Lamb of God, which ties together the Passover and the beauty and scope of the story.
For the past three years the concert has been overwhelming from a spiritual standpoint. I can honestly say that I haven’t made it through one performance of the show without crying, which isn’t a testimony to the concert as much as it is to the power of the story of Jesus. And it really is that story that’s being told, in a new way. The audiences have expressed to me what I most want to hear, which is that they were blown away, that they got goose bumps, that they felt truly prepared to celebrate the Christmas season for what it’s really worth. I also heard over and over again that they wanted to take the record home.
Over the past few years, along with the string quartet I’ve had numerous guests appear in the concert: Phil Keaggy, Alison Krauss, Phil Madeira, Fernando Ortega, Ron Block (Union Station), Sean and Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek), Jill Phillips, Randall Goodgame, Jonathan and Amanda Noel, Todd Bragg, Silers Bald, Laura Story, Andrew Osenga, Steve Hindalong and others. This year the concert is being held at the Ryman Auditorium.

It was incredible! Guests included, Bebo Norman, Sara Groves, Andrew Osenga (once part of the Normals, now part of Caedmon's Call), Jill Phillips and Andy Gullahorn (Jill's husband...check out his website...he's hilarious!)
The first part of the show Andrew P. introduced each guest and as he did that they each sang one of their songs. They went a couple of rounds like this all taking turns singing songs, then the second part of the show was 'Behold the Lamb of God'. They would take turns singing different songs, some all singing together. It was SO good. I was in tears at the end and definitely had goosebumps.
I wanted to point out to you these songs. They are amazingly written and so I thought I would post the lyrics. I'm going to do a song at a time here and there so that hopefully you will actually read them. If I post all of the lyrics to all of the songs...there may be the tendency to just scan it instead of really reading it. So really read it.

So the first song: Click here to listen to it. (scroll down to get to the album 'Behold the Lamb of God' and click on 'open player', then click on the song title)
You can download the album for $10 here. It is not available on itunes.

Gather Round ye Children Come

Gather round ye children come
Listen to the old, old story
Of the power of death undone
By an infant born of glory
Son of God, Son of Man
Gather round, remember now
How creation held its breath
How it let out a sigh
And it filled up the sky with the angels
Son of God, Son of Man

So sing out with joy for the brave little boy
Who was God, but he made himself nothing
Well he gave up his pride and he came here to die
Like a man

Therefore God exalted him
to the place of highest praises
And he gave him a name above every name
That at the very name of Jesus, Son of God

We would sing out with joy for the brave little boy
Who was God, but he made himself nothing
Well he gave up his pride and he came here to die
Like a man

So in heaven and earth and below
Every knee would bow and worship
And every tongue would proclaim
That Jesus, He reigns with the angels

So sing out with joy for the brave little boy
Who was God but he made himself nothing
Well he gave up his pride and he came here to die
Like a man

So gather round ye children come
Listen to the old old story
Of the power of death undone
By an infant born of glory
Son of God, Son of Man

Thanksgiving 2007-Corpus & "THE RANCH"

This year for Thanksgiving instead of going back to Iowa, Hilary and I both stayed in Texas.
It was hard.
It was the first time I had not been with my family over Thanksgiving and it was definitely a little sad to not be with them.
The parents of our friend Laura, invited us to come down to Corpus Christi to celebrate with them at their house. I had never been to Corpus and it was really fun!
We went with our friend Joe who was visiting from Iowa, and another couple Melissa and Ali. We arrived late Wednesday night and when we drove into town we drove right up to the gulf! It was beautiful even at night! We could see and hear the waves!! It was great!
Thanksgiving day we spent with Laura's extended family of about 35 people.
Here is a picture of Hilary and I having fun with washing dishes... Their house was VERY nice and beautifully decorated. In each room a table was set up and so Hilary and I decided to take a picture in each room...we're dorks...
Coffee break!Cheers!Looking very studious... Prom picture?!These little salt and pepper shakers were really cute!
Yes, I took a picture of the turkey!
Melissa and Ali! So cute!
Joe and Hilary, cheesy smiles!
Something is not right about this picture...hmmm....
Hilary likes to get her groove on...
awww...roommates!
Laura, Hilary and I...I'm not sure what is happening, but it's funny!
We added Melissa into the picture and something is still very funny...still not sure what it is!
GP (grandpa) and Laura. Favorite quotes...
GP: "Let me tell ya a joke..."
Laura: "Oh no...it might be dirty!"
The other one was when he was talking about some painting and he was describing it and said, "She's exotic...even more exotic looking than you..." pointing to me! wow. He was great!Joe and I doing the "word" pose...
A fun little dance in the driveway...
The beach and the ocean!! SO beautiful!
Joe has the best laugh in the entire world!!! And he has a love for Iowa.

Hilary and I were so excited to be on the beach that we decided to do a little dance...or something...HA!!
Yes...we got in! It was actually pretty warm.Get ready....JUMP!
So after our day of Thanksgiving, we went to the Gordon's "ranch"...a hunting ranch. So on our way we stopped and got hunting licenses. I guess you don't need any classes or instructions on how to hunt...you just need a license! So here it is!What more do you need...hunting license...beef stick...12 pack!
We did a lot of "off-roadin"We had to climb and jump the fence and cross the railroad tracks...
Joe didn't quite make it!
This has got to be one of my all time favorite pictures!!! Ha-larious!Hilary is set....carhartt...binoculars...mittens...cute hat.
I'm set...camo...5 layers of coats...ear warmer...work gloves...cute hat.
We're ready to hunt!!They gave me a gun...be scared...very scared...I was practicing my aim, but unfortunately I didn't get to shoot anything.
Hilary saw something!!! (notice the pointed finger in the mitten! classic!)
Joe stayed inside the truck where it was warm...although he claimed to be SO cold!
A Javelina! They are the most disgusting looking thing I have ever seen! A mix between a hog and a rat.
I see something!!! cows! they are there you can't see them...but they are there!Sweet Laura and Hilary...
Border patrol...
More "off-roadin"
We had a sweet bonfire...Back at the home...
This is my new friend...I shot him!!! ok...maybe not.
Wanna cookie?!
One morning we were doing yoga poses...and decided that this was going to be the new yoga pose of 2008...featuring Laura and Hilary...
There were many types of hunting vehicles...this is what we rode on...This vehicle was actually driven from up top! They drilled a hole in the top of the roof and built a contraption so that they could actually steer and drive from up on top!Another cute roomie picture!
We opted to not go hunting the second day and that was when the got 3 deer. bummer. We went to go see them in the freezer...I won't put that picture on here...it's pretty gross...but this is what Ali caught...Laura and her sweet mom!
Some of the hunting crew...can you see them?!I don't know why I always make this face when we do "silly faces".On the way home, the whole backseat was asleep and so Hilary decided to join them! When we got home Joe needed some Arabic food! So we picked up Jake (Jake was kind enough to let Joe be his roommate for the week!) and headed to Sarah's Mediterranean Market. SO good!
Hilary, once again gettin' her groove on...this time with Arabic music!
I managed to get it on video!
